P3: DEVELOP IDEAS FOR SOUND ELEMENTS FOR AN IDENTIFIED PURPOSE
How my idea will flow
Brief 1 - The music will start first with tension building as the Romans approach the shore, thunder will then be heard guided by a shout of warning for the friendly side “They’re coming, take fire”. We can hear the Romans shouting too as they hit shore with the sea hitting the boats and crashing onto the shore. “Go go go” shouting is heard all round as everyone starts running up the shores you can hear swords hitting and metal rubbing against each other as they fight. ScreamIng agony rise as it commenced. Rain can now be heard hitting metal armour and thunder gets louder as the music starts to get more intense. Caesar can be heard shouting now, “VENI,VIDI, VICI” as he charges forward. The ambient noises stay the same, the music starts to slow down and turn sad as the music fades out and moves to a white noise. The narrator speaks and starts to talk about the fight slowly talking about the museum now
How my idea meets the brief
My idea will meet the brief as my whole piece will be on the invasion of julius Caesar and his armour, this was clearly stated in the brief as it’s says “pegwell bay Kent is believed to be the site where julius Caesar invaded Britain.... this was a major event for Pegwell Bat and to celebrate this new finding... a new museum is being made.... artefacts found at the location of the dig at the bay... swords, shields from the fight” so I have covered the brief there. The brief also states they want the sound of sea, sailors and bad weather” which I am planning to make in my piece by using props and equipment to crest those pieces of audio for ambient sounds. Also my piece will have dramatic music which is also stated in the brief to set the tone on the fight and atmosphere they were in. I am having actors in my piece to imitate the sailors and Caesar himself. I want Caesar to have some line for himself from his journal and quotes he’s used before in fight scenarios. The piece will have a narrator in it that will talk about the museum itself suggesting a name and talking about the opening times and entries as well as why they should come and the importance of the city itself and what can be found in the museum.

M1: IDENTIFY RESOLUTIONS TO THE LEGAL AND ETHICAL ISSUES FOR PRODUCTION
What PPL AND PRS are?
I will distribute the final product on either youtube or soundcloud. The client may distribute it on radio which is okay as long as the client has a PPL or PRS license that states they can use may project and that they are allowed to distribute it further.
Royalties and Copyright In terms of copyright, I would like to have music within my piece but I have to be careful because of the copy right issues if i use music created by artists. So i have to find music from a library that can fit in my promotional audio piece. If you distribute work on the internet which I am either on Youtube or Soundcloud then royalty payments and copyright has to be taken into consideration.
If I was using music from a band or artist, I would have to get a licence from PPL (Phonographic Performance LTD) which licenses the use of recorded music for record companies and artists when their music is being played. The use of the music would also have to be certified by the PRS (Performing Rights Society for Music) which certifies organisations to play the music and make available copyrighted music to the organisation wanting to use it, so they can distribute the royalties.
However, I will be using royalty free music for my piece as well as music i will make. What i will have to do is link the audio in the bio on SoundCloud or youtube to state where i got it from and the name of who made it. This is because i must credit the original creator for their music.
