Analysing the feedback
Based on the feedback I received, I need to develop:
How I will show inappropriate content to user who want to see it.
I answered this by stating that influences with inappropriate content will still be on the app however that specific content will not be on the app. This feedback gave me insight into what the target audience will want to see and how I will work around issues like this. However looking back on the answer, I believe that I could have answered it much better. Looking back I would have stated that I would have a warning and age limit on some videos. Such as rated 15 and 18. Another thing I need to consider is the feedback:
How are you going to appeal to everyone and not just people who like rock music?
I answered this question by talking about the logo as its heavily aiming at people who like rock music. I said I would change the logo to make the star aspect bigger so the audience are draw to the star part of the app emphasises the ranges of artists and STARS we have on the app. This feedback was helpful in understanding what the target audience see from the logo and it helps me adjust it more to appeal further to my target audience.
The next thing to consider is the feedback:
Are you sure about the demographics?
When I received this answer, I rethought about the demographics and the different people that could use the app. After reconsidering I came to the decision that I would raise the demographic to B because some people in the middle class brackets may want to buy some clothing. This feedback helped me think more about the target audience and the class they are. It helped me adjust the demographic higher to further my audience reach.
The fourth thing I need to consider is the feedback:
How will you make money from a free app?
I answered this question by stating that we would be making money through the advert section that will be available on the app where other companies can advertise on the app. This is the best way to keep the audience engage because they will be less likely to buy the app. Another thing I said was the feature where the user can buy coins that unlock even more exclusive content like interviews. The question opened my eyes to more features the app could feature and helped me think about the overall profit at the end. The fifth thing I need to consider is the feedback:
What programmes will the advert show between?
I had already researched this prior I just missed it out of my pitch. I answered this by stating that I would show the advert between shows that are relevant to the target audience so The Big Bang Theory and catch up of Hollyoaks. These are the best because Hollyoaks is very popular with that target audience as the characters are relatable. The Big Bang Theory is liked by most people so is going to be liked by most of the audience. This feedback also made me consider timings as well, the showing of the above shows are between 5 and 6 after school and work so people can see it.
The last thing to I need consider is the feedback:
How would you get the exclusive interviews?
This was one question I didn't answer from my client, when thinking about the interviews, one way we can get them is by having cross promotion in the video, having the interview and asking them questions will helps us but also promoting their music and new things coming out could be what they get out of it which is cost effective for us. This question helps me think about the budget as well as the content of my app to help pay for interviews.
How I will develop my proposal in line with the feedback and
viability considerations?
Feasibility?
Looking at my product and the feasibility I believe my product is too expensive to make in terms of crew and the making of the product. I don't believe I looked close enough into budget and didn't fully think of the cost that needs to go into the product. If i were to make the product I would need a big investor or loan to make the app possible, this way I can pay for different people like coder, photographer and a marketing team.
M3: Justify how new audiences can be targeted by the new product.
D2: Critically evaluate how the negative impacts of converging technology will be minimised within the proposed campaign.
